Good atmosphere, good room with excellent cleaning staff; food was good and there was a tiki bar which meant one could relax with both a drink and a cigarette. This is the only hotel out of the five we stayed in that gave hurricane information and safety instructions in every room which I feel was most impressive considering we were on holiday during hurricane season.
The only downside was the scramble for buffet style cold breakfast in a limited space but...... There is a waffle machine which almost makes the queue worth it if you like waffles!
Location, entertainment at the bar, overall friendly
Musty, damp ground level room (136), at least 5-6 worms crawling from under the bed to the walls and under our pillows, rusty pipes and appliances. Not for the faint hearted.
I loved the Harolds Place rest./bar right in the middle of the courtyard. Tiki hut style. It had good entertainment yet it did end a little too early for me. Food was good. Drinks were good. Had a continental breakfast which was good but was pure carbs! A little fruit and protein would be better with all those carbs.
Nothing except the lack of fruit and protein at the breakfast.
It was very convenient to the public beach and shopping. Very easy to find off the expressway. I liked the fact that we could use pool towels from the hotel free of charge. It was also nice to have a casual restaurant on the premises.
The maids came around kind of early to clean.
The location is great. It is near the beach- beautifull beaches- and there is also a mall very near, as well as restaurants and supermarkets. The room was comfortable and clean.
Staff was not really friendly, but helped adequately.
Tiki Bar, food bar and pool.
Needs renovation and paint job.
Nice pool and bar at pool.
Very old furniture in the room, it looks dirty. Poor breakfast, not enough space in breakfast room
The location, Hotel near beach, restaurants and shopping. The Tiki bar ( Harold's) wa great, Good Food, Cheap drinks, Great service! Needs music!
The front desk clerk was not very friendly at check-In.
swimming pool and location
staff do not greet customers the proper way and do not dress and look properly to the point that you think they are visitors not employees. They do not wear uniforms and no name tags.
Fast free internet, the pool and the service of John and Miguel at the bar.
The location was great! Our service was awesome. they were so helpful with directions and helping us find the beach. We will stay here again!!
Generally well equipped rooms.
Rather shabby externally and old TV set.
Best wireless internet experienced in Florida. Mix of old and new in the rooms. Pretty location.
Poor breakfast (no fruit, no cereals, small venue).
Good hotel 1 mile from the beach. 15 min walk. Good restaurants close by. Excelent Burger at the hotel, good pool, laundry posibilties, free parking.
Only here two days
Pool and poolside bar and grill were nice.
I rented a King standard roomfor 4 nights but got a 1 bed queen room- and the price was increased by $22 on the 4th night. I was also charged $100 for "9 damaged towels". I had washed the towels and dried them, rather than getting extras since the ones we had were wet and I was washing clothes anyway. Dye from a beach towel slightly colored the towels. Because of the amount of bleach that is regularly used when washing hotel towels and stains, I doubt that any of the dye color remained. I could understand a small fee, but over $11 per towel??? In addition, these were not all large towels, but included hand towels. New ones cost less!! When I checked out, the clerk said nothing. In addition, one of the days when the maid came by, my baby was asleep, so she didn't clean. That was fine, but it meant that there was 2 days trash accumulation. If English was her primary language, we could have communicated and she could have come back later for that. I probably will not be staying there again.
